Een lied over de liefde in al haar ambiguieteit en complexiteit. Deze songtekst probeert uit te stijgen boven 'honingzoete woorden', de schijn te doorbreken en de ware betekenis te vinden om vervolgens in stilte te vallen.

Ik schreef Small Talk vanuit deze invalshoek, maar het lied is in de loop der jaren geëvolueerd. Toch heeft het voor mij nog steeds impact.
